A Medical Treatment Video Animation uses animation to communicate complex medical processes, like immunotherapy, in a way ordinary people can understand.
With the collaboration of a certified medical illustrator and a patient and caregiver who contributed their story, MiniMatters created this Medical Treatment Video Animation for the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network. The video uses the patients’ actual doctor, two actors, and the medically accurate animation to show how new immune therapy treatments act on bladder cancer that has resisted chemotherapy. Right now immune therapies are a subject of much interest, but there is limited material depicting when they are appropriate to use and how the treatments work in the body. With this video, the viewer is brought into the consultation room with the doctor, patient, and caregiver to learn about this medical treatment innovation.
