We produced this Medical Expert Video for the Tourette Association of America, in which an expert in the field of Tourette Syndrome, Dr. John Walkup, compared and contrasted several forms of verbal tics that may be present in Tourette Syndrome. He stresses the importance of care providers and families understanding the terms coprolalia, palilalia and echolalia in order to improve diagnosis and treatment for those with Tourette, as well as to dispel outdated, destructive misconceptions.
